Process
Requirements
Any person who has a high school diploma or General Educational
Development (GED) verification may be admitted to Kilian Community
College. Most of our students have been doing other things with their lives and now want a change to receive a college degree. We don't worry about your ACT or SAT score, what your grade point average in high school was, or how you might have done (or not done) at another higer education institution.
To begin the admissions process, new students will:
- Discuss educational interests and individual goals with
an admissions counselor.
- Have official high school transcript or GED verification sent directly to the College. See the necessary forms at the bottom of this page for
transcript request forms.
- Submit a completed application for admission with the
nonrefundable application fee of $25.
- Participate in academic placement assessment.
- Receive academic advising and register for classes.
- If applying for financial aid, meet with Director or
Assistant Director of Financial Aid.
- Submit all official transcripts from previously attended
colleges and universities to Kilian Community College,
Admissions, 300 E. 6th St., Sioux Falls, SD 57103. See
the necessary forms at the bottom of this page for transcript request
forms.
Admissions procedures for continuing students, special/non-degree
students and current high school students are stated in
our College
Catalog and are also available from an admissions counselor.
See the necessary forms at the bottom of this page for the Kilian Admission
