Kilian Community College: Learn and Live.

Safety and Security

The safety and security of our students and staff is extremely important at Kilian Community College. To date, no major crimes have been reported on our campus. We intend to do all we can to insure that we maintain this clean record in the future. Therefore, the College employs a professional security and patrol service from the hours of 5 to 10 p.m. during evenings when classes are held. The security service employees are trained and in uniform to provide safety to students, faculty, employees, visitors and property at 300 East 6th Street in Sioux Falls, SD.

While on duty, security officers provide constant monitoring of our facility and parking lot. They are also willing to provide escort services to and from the College's parking lot to insure that our students, faculty and staff feel safe at all times.

Any on-campus incident, such as murder, sex offense (forcible and unenforceable), robbery, aggravated assault, burglary, motor vehicle theft, liquor-law violation, drug abuse violation, and weapons possession, should be reported immediately to the local authorities by dialing 911. Within 24 hours, the incident must be reported to the College using the Crime Incident Report located in the Business Office. Students and staff requiring counseling as a result of the incident are referred to our Student Success Center counselors.

A safety seminar is provided annually to staff, students and faculty. In addition, Kilian is required by law to provide a security report, which can be obtained here.
