2010 German Fest: Falls Park West on September 11 beginning at 2:00 pm.
Spirit of the West: Sept 17-Sept 19 at 6200 N Kiwanis Ave (north of 60th and Kiwanis). $10 adults, $8 seniors, children under 12 are FREE! Food, entertainment and more!

10th Annual United Way Reading Festival: October 16 from 9-12 at the Ramkota Exhibit Hall. Performances, hands-on activities and a free book to each child who attends. ZooBoo: Oct 22-24 at the Great Plains Zoo. This is a safe, non-scary Halloween event for the entire family. Guides to help you explore the lighted paths throughout the zoo as you trick-or-treat at a variety of booths. Visit www.greatzoo.org for more information.

8th Annual Spooktacular Trails - Walk in the Park: October 30th 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Big Sioux Recreation Area near Brandon. A trick or treat trail will lead you through the dark woods of the rec area with lots of chances for the kids to get treats & prizes. Participation FREE, but park entrance is required. 2010 Winter Wonderland Kick Off: Nov 20th at 6:00 pm at Falls Park. FREE! Horse-drawn carriage rides, holiday music, ice sculptures, cookies and hot chocolate. Visit Santa & Mrs. Clause and meet the reindeer. Park downtown & ride the trolley. Lights will continue to display nightly through Jan 2, 2011.
