DEGREE REQUIREMENTS
To earn an Associate of Arts, Associate of Science or Associate of Applied Science degree, students must complete 64-66 semester credit hours, depending on the chosen program. If a student declares a second degree, a minimum of 15 additional semester credit hours in the program‘s core and concentration area must be taken. ACADEMIC HONORS
Students who complete nine (9) credits or more in a semester and who achieve academic excellence are recognized each semester. Those who earn a grade point average of 3.5 to 3.74 are placed on the Achievement List. Those who earn a grade point average of 3.75 or above are placed on the President‘s List. Students who achieve a cumulative grade point average of 3.70 or above at the time of graduation are recognized for academic honors: summa cum laude (3.90-4.00 GPA); magna cum laude (3.8-3.89 GPA); or cum laude (3.70-3.79 GPA) status is noted on the diploma. Students completing a certificate program with a grade point average of 3.70 or higher receive a diploma notation of With Honors. |
