Kilian Community College Institutional Scholarship
The Kilian Scholarship Program was established to encourage academically successful students to continue their studies at Kilian. The recipients are selected by the Kilian Scholarship Committee. Available awards are:

  • Encouragement Award $500.00 Minimum 3.00 CGPA, $250.00 per semester for 2 semesters (max 4)
  • Achievement Award $1,000.00 Minimum 3.50 CGPA, $250.00 per semester for 4 semesters (max 8)
  • Presidential Award $2,000.00 Minimum 3.80 CGPA, $500.00 per semester for 4 semesters (max 8)

Kilian Opportunity Grant
The Kilian Opportunity Grant is available to new students who are attending Kilian for the first time. The award is for $500.00 ($250.00 per semester for two consecutive semesters). Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.

LEAP Grant Program (Leveraging Educational Assistance Partnership) 
Applicants must be a full time student at Kilian Community College and a South Dakota Resident.  Other requirement apply.

National Financial Literacy Month Scholarship

All students who complete a free online financial literacy seminar will have their names entered into a monthly drawing for a $500.00 scholarship for each seminar successfully completed.  Simply visit this website: www.nslpflonline.org/college.  Complete rules available at this site as well.  Drawings will be held throughout 2010 (except July & August).

Education-Portal has renewed all undergraduate scholarships for the 2010-2011 academic year!  Deadline for all scholarships is April 1.

Business and Professional Women/USA 2010
The Sioux Falls Business and Professional Women's Organization is offering two scholarships in the amount of $700 each to women pursuing post-secondary education. Both traditional and non-traditional students are eligible to apply.  Application deadline is May 15.  Pick up an application at Kilian's front desk!

South Dakota Association of Telephone Cooperatives, Inc. 
SDATC offers a $1,000.00 scholarships to qualified students for the Fall 2010 semester.  The application deadline is May 31.  Applicants must have completed at least 2 semesters at an accredited institution of higher learning in SD. In addition, the applicant/family must be members or customers of a SD telephone cooperative or other local exchange carrier. Applications are available at Kilian's front desk.

Walter Panzirer Family Scholarship
Mitchell Area Crime Stoppers is offering awards made possible by the Panzirer family.  Download the application at: www.mitchellcrimestoppers.org.

Lincoln County Community and Family Extension Leaders
Awarding a $150.00 scholarship. Applicants must be in their final year of college, attending an accredited post-secondary school in SD, a Lincoln County resident or affiliated with Lincoln County 4-H or schools and have a GPA of 2.8 or greater. A brief essay and one letter of recommendation are required. You can obtain information about this scholarship at Kilian's front desk.

Soroptimist International of Sioux Falls - North Central Region
Applicant must be a woman with primary financial responsibility for supporting her family, attend an undergraduate or vocational/skills program, have financial need, be motivated to achieve financial or career goals, reside in a Soroptimist country/territroy. Awards range from $500.00 on a local level to $10,000.00 on a national level. Visit Kilian's financial aid office or call Lisa VandeVoort at 582-6968.

South Dakota MENSA Annual Scholarship
Award of $500 to $1,000 are based on any essay of 550 or fewer words describing the applicant’s academic or career goals. Applicant must be enrolled in a U.S. post-secondary education and a US citizen or legal resident. For the state of South Dakota award, you must be enrolled in a South Dakota school. Sallie Mae Fund's Scholarship Recognition Campaign
The Sallie Mae Fund offers scholarships through a variety of initiatives. Applications, eligibility and deadline information is available at www.salliemaefund.org.

SME Sioux Falls
Each year the Sales & Marketing Executives of Sioux Falls awards four scholarships to sophomore, junior or senior level students continuing their business-related education in an institution of higher learning in SD. In recent years, finalists have received awards up to $4,000.00. Visit www.smesiouxfalls.org for more information.
