Transfer Requirements

Transfer Credits

Students must submit all official academic transcripts from prior colleges/universities for which they are transferring credits.  The Registrar reviews, course by course, all transcripts for the purpose of determining if credit may be accepted for courses taken at another college or university.  Credits earned must have a letter grade of A, B, C or equivalent.  Courses with a grade value below a 2.0, “C” are not accepted in transfer.

Courses not taken for a letter grade are given consideration.  Course content is compared for equivalency to courses offered at Kilian Community College, and courses accepted in transfer will be applied to the program elected by the student.  Only courses equivalent to those in the declared program are accepted in transfer.  The student is notified by letter of transfer credits accepted by Kilian Community College.  The Registrar reserves the option for final acceptance of such credit.

A minimum of 25 percent of the requirements of total program credits must be taken at Kilian Community College to satisfy a Certificate or an Associate’s Degree.
